My Latest Creative Risk
Wanna know my favorite four-letter word?
RISK.
Admittedly, when it comes to swearing, I'm pretty vanilla. But when it comes to risk-taking, I've become a pro.
Not the kind of risk that has me betting the house on black, or jumping out of an airplane (no, thank you!).
But the kind of risk that moves me – my wishes, dreams and goals – forward.
Purposeful risks.
Thoughtful risks.
Sustainable risks.
Over the years I've examined and redefined my relationship with risk: what it is, what it isn’t, and how it happens.
I have learned to assess which risks – professionally and personally – are actually worth taking.
I've also gotten clear on the risk of NOT doing anything (which sometimes can be riskier than making a change!).
This time I’m going for it.
Last week I wrote to you about my experience creating an intuitive card deck. The experience of playing – with materials, with my style, with my creative process – and how much I loved what came through me.
It turns out: a lot of you loved it, too.
